The kooky bunch of
fororoyalenfield.es friends met up again. This time it was in the southeast of Spain, in the ancient city of Granada. It's where the Alhambra is, one of the most beautiful palaces and gardens ever built.
Three of us rode the 580 km down from Madrid through some interesting places like Villanueva de los Infantes, in La Mancha, where we stopped for lunch.

Cheers, my dears! |
As we got further south, the bars got more and more generous and creative with the tapas. In Madrid, you may get some olives or potato chips with your first beer. In the north of Spain you probably have to pay for a pintxo. But Granada hands out kingly portions of good, home-cooked food with each round of beer.

The way down was hot (100ºF/37ºC), it was hot while we were there, and hot when we came back. But well worth it to see the gang again.
We also had a chance to take a ride together, to the historic town of Guadix:

Looks like you had a great trip in the bull. Does the bull have a following in spain?
ReplyDeleteThere's a small but devote following here in Spain, maybe a total of 300 bulleteers in the whole country.
